Hear Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg Sing About Robot Sex on New Soundwalk Collective Track

The 'Antichrist' and 'Nymphomaniac' duo reunite for a song about boning bots

High-concept experimentalists Soundwalk Collective — who've collaborated with Patti Smith on a couple records — have brought noted weirdos (and generally talented people) Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg together again for a new track about humans fucking robots.

The Antichrist and Nymphomaniac stars reunite on "Lovotic," the title track of Soundwalk Collective's new album that's all about the potential for sex and love between humans and robots.

A partial synopsis of the album reads:

Inspired by a relatively new field of research that seeks to explore and develop the possibilities of sexual and emotional relationships — and even love — between humans and robots, LOVOTIC interrogates the impulses, ideas, and needs underlying this phenomenon. The project ventures into a future where sex, intimacy and desire are reformulated through the connection of humans, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

On "Lovotic," the two artists speak-sing about being "designed to love" and a bunch of other clinical robot dirty talk (including some binary code, obviously) over a glitching, low-key industrial rhythm.

The whole album is credited to Soundwalk Collective with Charlotte Gainsbourg, and it includes collaborations with Lyra Pramuk,  Atom ™ and Paul B. Precadio. It arrives on April 1. Check out the title track and see the full tracklist for LOVOTIC below.
