4 Non Blondes' "What's Up?" has kinda been a punching bag for a long time, the sort of song that you love as a kid — certain that it's some lauded piece of classic rock canon — before learning that it's been getting clowned basically since its release.
Dolly Parton clearly has a more generous opinion of the song than those '90s tastemakers, and she's decided to cover it for her sorta-insane new covers album Rockstar, the guest-heavy tribute to rock 'n' roll that she was spurred to record after being nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Parton has already shared her versions of songs from the Beatles, Queen, and Heart, and now she's also tackling "What's Up?" alongside its author Linda Perry. They've also shared a video for the track, in which Parton and Perry lip-sync while surrounded by little kids.
Parton sounds good singing it! Check it out below.
