Dolly Parton Reunites the Beatles on Confirmed Tracklist for Rock Album 'Rockstar'

It also features collaborations with Sting, Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, Lizzo, Elton John, Steven Tyler, Rob Halford and more

Dolly Parton is nothing if not a woman of her word. When she was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame early last year, she was slightly taken aback — to the point where she wanted to drop out of the running — because she never considered herself to be rock and/or roll. She also joked that she would release a rock album "immediately" if inducted, and when she decided to accept the nomination after all, the country legend became a hall-of-famer.

Shortly thereafter, she confirmed her rock album plans and started dreaming up potential guests, some of whom were confirmed earlier this year. And while Parton didn't manage to cover "Stairway to Heaven" with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, the newly verified tracklist for the aptly titled Rockstar — to be released on November 17 through her own Butterfly Records — does include a rendition of the Zeppelin standard with Lizzo on the flute.

She did, however, wield her blonde ambition to casually reunite the surviving members of the Beatles (along with Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood) for a cover of "Let It Be." The album also features appearances from Sting, Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, Elton John, Steven Tyler, Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Miley Cyrus, Ann Wilson, John Forgerty, Kid Rock, Joan Jett, P!nk, Brandi Carlile, Debbie Harry, Melissa Etheridge, Nikki Sixx, Linda Perry, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar and more.

"I'm so excited to finally present my first rock and roll album Rockstar," Parton said in a statement. "I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I've enjoyed putting it together!"

The whopping 30-track album includes 21 covers of rock classics and nine original songs, including lead single "World on Fire" — set to be released on Thursday (May 11).
