While Dolly Parton didn't orchestrate a minor Led Zeppelin reunion for her forthcoming Rockstar album, getting two surviving Beatles in Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr together is no small feat. Now, her cover of the Fab Four's "Let It Be" has arrived.
On the latest single from Rockstar, Parton's impassioned vocal is front and centre, while McCartney — playing piano alongside his old bandmate Starr on drums — offers soulful harmonic support.
Additionally, Peter Frampton contributes guitar, while Mick Fleetwood lends a rhythmic assist on percussion.
"Thanks Dolly for doing my song," McCartney wrote on Twitter. "I love your version and am very pleased to be by your side on this one. Rock on!"
As previously reported, Rockstar arrives November 17 via Parton's own Butterfly Records.
The album's star-studded guest list includes Judas Priest's Rob Halford, Miley Cyrus, Ann Wilson, John Fogerty, Kid Rock, Joan Jett, P!nk, Brandi Carlile and many more.
