Halifax's Moon Announce Debut Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 18, 2014

Halifax quintet Moon wowed us with their bursts of pop and bleak Krautrock at Halifax Pop Explosion last month, and now the band have announced the details of their debut LP.

The self-titled album was recorded earlier this year with the Super Friendz' Charles Austin at Echo Chamber Audio. The record revisits old songs from the band's debut EP, pairing them with newer compositions.

A press release explains that the album is "full of isolation, exploration, and resolve." Those themes can be explored on the video for new track "Gomorrah," which was created using home video footage from the Nova Scotia Public Archives.

Watch the video for "Gomorrah" below, and look for Moon when it's released digitally and on cassette via Bruised Tongue on December 23.

Moon:

1. One Thousand Natural Shocks
2. Meridian
3. Gomorrah
4. Stained Glass
5. Pastoral Song
6. Card Crane Ha
7. Narrow Draw
