GWAR have announced plans to tour North America in celebration of the (delayed) 30-year anniversary of their 1990 sophomore album, Scumdogs of the Universe. The band will perform the album in full on the 42-date trek, which includes several concerts in Canada.
"We've been saving it up, and we are ready to explode all over the face of this nation with a dazzling flood of chaotic shock rock load," said "lead throat thing" the Berserker Blóthar. "But don't even try to come to a show on this tour unless you are unvaccinated, COVID positive and willing to submit to an enthusiastic rectal temperature check at the hands of our degenerate road crew."
The band will kick off the run in their hometown of Richmond, VA, on September 16, before making their way north of the border for a stop at Toronto's Opera House on November 8. Along the way, they'll hit Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton throughout December, before wrapping up in Washington, DC, on the 13th.
GWAR will find support from Napalm Death and Eyehategod throughout the majority of the trek, with select performances supported by Madball.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (June 18).
