If Guns N' Roses were going to have a song hit two billion views, it was always going to be a power ballad, wasn't it? Their 1991 Use Your Illusion I cut "November Rain" has done just that on YouTube, surpassing 2,000,060,936 views as of press time.
After having hit the one-billi mark back in 2018 — at the time, making it the oldest video to do so — the song is now the first '90s rock video to make it to double that mark, according to Loudwire, which also reports that it is now the hard rock video with the most views, with Linkin Park's "Numb" trailing only slightly behind it.
Hailed as one of Funny or Die's "Dumbest Music Videos," the nine-minute clip (directed by Andy Morahan) cost an estimated $1,500,000 USD to produce back in 1992. The video itself depicts Axl Rose's then-girlfriend Stephanie Seymour's wedding-turned-funeral. The whole thing is super hokey, but then again, so are the other members of the billion-stream club.
