Great Kat

With a cheap retail price, this debut DVD from the, uh, "legendary" Great Kat upholds her tradition of keeping things short and sweet. Six music vids (so that's, what, six minutes?) showcasing the Kat's outrageous takes on classical music done up with her patented guitar and violin histrionics; it's entertaining as hell, especially when you add the wild visuals into the mix. The music? It's a kind of cartoon-ish heavy metal, all shred and no taste. What the hell, pick it up and throw it on for a chuckle, and of course don't forget to realise how talented the Kat actually is beneath all the insanity. (TPR, www.greatkat.com)
