Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett's virtual band Gorillaz delivered Humanz just last year, but they've already been hinting a new record is on the way. Albarn confirmed the rumour onstage recently in Santiago, Chile, and even debuted a brand new track from the forthcoming LP.
Titled "Hollywood," the band performed it live on March 20, revealing Snoop Dogg's guest verse on the song. The rapper wasn't present in person, but a recorded version of his feature was nonetheless played back onstage.
Prior to performing the song, Albarn noted the new record would be arriving "very soon."
"If you go and tell anyone that we're putting a new album out very soon then I'll deny it because I didn't say that, all right?" He then added, "This is a tune off it."
Late last year, the band also debuted another geographically-titled new tune called "Idaho."
