The Golden Age of Wrestling Returns to the Ring for Sophomore Album 'Crossface Chicken Wing,' Shares Two New Videos

"This album is my attempt to win the heavyweight belt against depression and get back in the ring," says the musician also known as Devours

Devours songwriter Jeff Cancade is heading back into the ring for another "glambient" album as the Golden Age of Wrestling. The sophomore album Crossface Chicken Wing is out on February 25 via his own label, surviving the game.

To accompany the announcement, Cancade has released videos for the songs "almanac" and "instant coffin," both directed by Medusa Wyatt. Together with the previously released "outlaw run," they make up a video trilogy about people surviving the isolation, inertia and grief of the pandemic.

Cancade said in a statement, "The album is about overcoming anxiety and finding inner peace. My mid-30s have been a complete wreck and the pandemic has served one bodyslam after another, so this album is my attempt to win the heavyweight belt against depression and get back in the ring."

Watch the videos below, and see the tracklist for Crossface Chicken Wing below that. Funnily enough, the tracklist includes a feature appearance from Devours — which is, of course, another alias of Cancade himself.

Crossface Chicken Wing is the follow-up to 2020's Tombstone Piledriver.
