Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: LOONY, Hot Garbage, Soran, the Golden Age of Wrestling

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jan 19, 2024

It may only be the third Friday in the marathon that is the month of January, but it officially feels like the Canadian music industry is back in full force. We've got a boatload of new releases to get through, and we haven't time to waste!

Returning with her first track of 2024, LOONY is already getting "Too Attached," and Montreal's Soran makes synthpop "Magic."

Our first big week in album releases for the year includes new records from the Golden Age of Wrestling, Hot Garbage, PACKS (Melt the Honey), EKKSTACY, Loving, and Exclaim! Class of 2024 grads StillWaves, who'll play their new music at the Monarch Tavern tomorrow (January 20). There are also some New Faves alumni in the mix, with Vancouver's Tractor Beam releasing a new EP.

Elsewhere, there's new music from Gulfer, (Dan) Boeckner, Major Love, Alana Yorke, Joseph Shabason & Nicholas Krgovich, Mawzy, Ellis, David Vertesi, Devon Welsh and more. It's looking like we're about to have one hell of a year on our hands.

Let the anticipation begin with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
