Faith Healer Announce New Album 'The Hand That Fits the Glove,' Share Single "I'm a Dog"

Prior single "Another Fool" is also on the album

Edmonton duo Faith Healer have announced their third album: The Hand That Fits the Glove is out October 13 through Mint Records.

The eight-song album finds the core duo of singer-guitarist Jessica Jalbert and producer/multi-instrumentalist Renny Wilson recording with outside contributors for the first time. A press release promises a sound that moves away from Faith Healer's usual '70s pop-rock influences, touching on psychedelia, '90s lounge pop and something called "Montreal chill."

Faith Healer have shared the twinkling single "I'm a Dog" — a song that a press release identifies as one of the times The Hand That Fits the Glove recalls the band's past work. Jalbert said in a statement, "This song is about how the supposed sinfulness of indulgence and sensuality has been baked into my identity, and how that makes me feel like an unruly dog. The track is light and easy, a throwback to the jangly Faith Healer of old."

Prior singles "Another Fool" and "2020" are also on the album.

Hear "I'm a Dog" below. The Hand That Fits the Glove is available to pre-order on vinyl from Bandcamp. This is Faith Healer's first album since 2017's Try ;-).
