Elliott Brood Reveal New Single, Announce Canadian Tour Dates

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 2, 2011

It's been some time since we've heard anything substantial from Toronto alt-country outfit Elliott Brood, who haven't released an album since 2008's Polaris-nominated Mountain Meadows. Now, the trio have a new single up for grabs and an album on the way later this year, plus a smattering of tour dates later this spring and summer.

First off, Elliott Brood have unveiled the new single "Northern Air," which will appear on the forthcoming Days into Years LP. You can listen to the song at the bottom of this page and download for free over at Bandcamp.

The song will appear on a limited-edition seven-inch called Northern Companion. This vinyl will be given away for free at secret locations across Canada. To learn where you can get a copy, stay tuned to Elliott Brood's Twitter and Facebook pages.

Unfortunately, there's no word as to exactly when Days into Years will drop.

As for the band's upcoming live dates, almost all the dates are in Canada, with shows in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. See the schedule below.
