Drake's "Summer Sixteen" is coming to a close, making way for a new rising R&B talent to take the throne — his dad. Perhaps spurred on by a recent nod from Arkells, Dennis Graham has officially announced his re-entry into the music industry.
Drake's Memphis-based father played drums with Jerry Lee Lewis in his younger days, and has attained celebrity status by appearing in his son's "Worst Behaviour" video and Instagramming all the backstage action on Drake's tours. But now he's stealing the spotlight for himself by unveiling his debut solo single.
Dubbed "Kinda Krazy," the track features guest vocals from Tanya Lee and was produced by Jamie Iovine (yes, the son of Interscope Records mogul, Beats co-founder and foot-in-mouth expert Jimmy Iovine). The song is slow, slinky and soulful, suggesting that Mr. Graham may have more swag than his very own son.
