Drake continues to be haunted by his feud with Kendrick Lamar, which this weekend (November 2) led to the rapper making a bit of a fool of himself when the Toronto Raptors faced off against DeMar DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings.
The Raptors celebrated former star Vince Carter and retired his number during the game on Saturday night — but the crowd also hailed the visiting DeRozan, a former player who is one of the franchise's all-time greats.
This visibly angered Drake, who is evidently still bitter about DeRozan's role in the feud with Lamar. (In the Drake diss track "Not Like Us," Lamar rapped, "I'm glad De-Roz came home, y'all didn't deserve him neither," and DeRozan later appeared in the song's music video.) While guest commentating on the TV broadcast, Drake took numerous jabs at DeRozan, calling him a "goof" and a "clown" and saying, "If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I'll go up there and pull it down myself."
After the game, after the Raptors won and the players were filing off the court, Drake could be seen seemingly mouthing the words, "[Get the] fuck outta here, pussy."
In a post-game interview, DeRozan was asked about Drake's comment about pulling down a banner. DeRozan responded, "Well, he's going to have a long way to climb to take it down, so tell him good luck." DeRozan then walked out of the room, having landed a decidedly colder dismissal than the rapper managed.
Watch it all go down below. Previously, various associates of Lamar have had their Toronto shows cancelled last-minute, seemingly because of Drake's influence.
