It's been 16 years since Dr. Dre released his album 2001 in 1999, and now the follow-up is finally here. The freshly released Compton can be streamed now on Apple Music.
Compton (which now seems to be going by that shortened title, rather than Compton A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre) is a companion album for the forthcoming N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, and it features a pile of guests like Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Xzibit, Jill Scott, BJ the Chicago Kid and more. Starting with the faux-Hollywood fanfare of the opening "Intro," it's an epic hip-hop voyage.
It's out through Aftermath/Interscope Records. Dive into the 16-song album right here.
