Doughboys

Apparently feeling a little nostalgic and lamenting how great his band once was, former Doughboys drummer Brock Pytel has compiled this three-song demo of material recorded in advance of their debut Whatever disc. All three of these tracks were re-recorded for the debut, but after comparing these versions to those of the album, they would have been better using these. While Whatever was way ahead of its time as an early entrant into the pop-punk sweepstakes 15 years ago, these cleaned-up demos capture the band at an even more urgent point in its career. Highly recommended for those who want to understand where this whole pop-punk thing got its start.
