Donald Glover has been hyping up that the new episodes of Atlanta will be the best TV since The Sopranos. They'll also, apparently, be the last episodes of TV that he ever releases for FX, because he's just signed a massive deal with Amazon.

Glover has signed a multi-year, eight-figure deal with Amazon to make content for their Prime Video streaming service. His brother Stephen Glover, who also wrote on Atlanta, signed a separate deal with the streamer.

Among the numerous projects in the works are a new show called Hive, which will revolve around a Beyoncé-like figure as she navigates fame. The project has already started staffing a writers room, and rumour has it that Malia Obama is among those who were hired.

As The Hollywood Reporter explains, Amazon declined to comment on any of the news.

Meanwhile, Atlanta is set to return to production on Season 3 and Season 4 next month.
