Doja Cat has been beefing with her fans, but she's still treating them to a new album. Scarlet will be out on September 22.

She announced the news on Instagram, where she posted the title and date along with the album cover, which can be seen above.

UPDATE (8/31, 1:00 p.m. ET): Doja Cat has now changed Scarlet's album cover. She didn't explain why, but the change comes soon after the discovery that the artwork was nearly identical to that of Chaver's Of Gloom.

UPDATE (8/30, 10:30 a.m. ET): Pop Crave points out that the artwork is nearly identical to death metal band Chaver's album cover for their album Of Gloom, which also comes out on September 22. Both covers were made by the same artist, Dusty Ray.

Doja Cat has released a couple singles in recent months: "Attention" and "Paint the Town Red." A third single, "Demons," is out this Friday (September 1). These songs will presumably be on the album, although a tracklist hasn't yet been revealed.

Scarlet is the follow-up to the artist's 2021 album, Planet Her.
