Devin Townsend Project Announce North American Tour, Play Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 15, 2011

Earlier this year, versatile and prolific experimental metal weirdo Devin Townsend released Destruction and Ghost, two more complicated cacophonies crafted with his long-running Devin Townsend Project. If the theatrical and schizophrenic metal discs, which featured at least one song about a cheeseburger, had you drooling, you're probably going to go nuts over news that the musician's taking his show on the road.

The B.C.-born headbanger will take off on a headlining tour this fall, playing some gigs on his own while performing with the Devin Townsend Project for others. Unfortunately for Canadian fans, the eccentric songwriter will only be playing this side of the U.S. border once, at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on October 29.

Berlin-based progressive metalheads the Ocean will open throughout the tour. Check the schedule below.
