Montreal songwriter Jonathan Personne — otherwise known as the frontman of Sub Pop-signed francophone band Corridor — has announced plans for a new solo record. Titled Disparitions, the record arrives on August 28 via Michel Records.
Alongside the announcement, Personne has shared the record's lead single "Springsteen" — a nostalgic foray into psychedelia that explores the sense of longing he felt while on tour, using a 12-string guitar and '60s and '70s vocal overlay effects.
"I spent a lot of time touring away from home. Towards the end, I felt like I was reluctantly going to do something that I had long wished for," the artist explained in a statement.
Disparitions follows the release of Personne's 2019 solo debut, Histoire Naturelle.
