Coldplay's Chris Martin Sued for Allegedly Hitting Paparazzo with Jeep

Coldplay may have recently delivered their latest album A Head Full of Dreams, but the band's frontman Chris Martin is now in legal trouble from an incident earlier this year where he allegedly gave a paparazzo a head full of Jeep.

Way back in January, Martin was driving around Los Angeles with Gwyneth Paltrow (the pair were already consciously uncoupled, but not yet divorced). Photographer Richard Terry alleges that he was standing on the sidewalk try to snap a photo of the two when Martin intentionally drove his Jeep onto the sidewalk.

As TMZ reports, Terry filed a lawsuit against Martin on Monday. In it, he alleges that Martin "has a significant history of repeated and ongoing violent acts" against paps, adding that Martin was being "intentional, malicious and oppressive"  as he tried to "hurt, injure, embarrass and otherwise harm" the photographer.

The lawsuit adds that Terry sustained permanent injuries from the accident. The photographer is seeking payment for medical bills, property damage, legal costs and a lump sum.

Chris Martin has yet to respond to the lawsuit.
