Diamond Rings

The venue was surprisingly empty during John O'Regan's set as Diamond Rings. This guy has been generating a lot of buzz lately, so it was weird to see that not a lot of people were around. Besides that, the set felt much like we were all behind a glass window watching some kid rock out in his parent's basement (perhaps the '90s unicorn sheet draped off his keyboard set that mood, or his zebra tights, leather jacket and dance moves). O'Regan's songs are carefully put together, but his oomph wavered from time to time, and he barely made contact with his onlookers. But still, you just want to keep pushing him to see what he'll do next.
