Donald Glover's rap project Childish Gambino is about as internetty as they come — his moniker was christened by a Wu-Tang name generator and his latest LP is called Because the Internet. Craving more of the sweet, life-sustaining online culture, however, he's gone ahead and named his tour "The Deep Web Tour."
Glover revealed the upcoming trek via a method that would make any viral marketer worth his or her salt jump with joy — by tweeting a link to a fake sex cam site. The SFW site features a flash chat window where, if you type in the word "tickets," you'll be redirected to the tour's proper site.
The run of shows will not take place in a secret, second internet that specializes in contraband content. Instead, it will take place IRL as Donald Glover tours his project around the globe, with stops scheduled in Europe and all over North America. Canadian dates are limited, however, with stops in Toronto and Montreal.
