Chief Keef

"Lucky Bastard"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 4, 2014

It's been raining Chief Keef material lately, with both the "I Don't Like" rapper's Back From the Dead 2 and Big Gucci Sosa mixtapes having landed late last week. Let's not forget that the long-promised Bang 3 freelease is also on the way, but, holy hell, not before a quickie offering dubbed B4: DA EP BFO B3. The latter's "Lucky Bastard" is the next part of the ongoing downpour.

True to form, the track includes countless ad libs of "bang" while Keef pumps us up for the start of the choppa party. On top of the drill beat of quick-shifting hi-hat hits and fantasy film synths, Keef first contemplates his fatherless childhood. Later, he talks about his budding relationship with Benjamin Franklin, which might explain why the rapper's been paying off watches with Maseratis. "Lucky Bastard," indeed.

You'll find the track, no doubt soon to be supplanted by another set of sneak previews, down below.
