Here's something you don't hear every day — Sammy Hagar and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger have joined forces with an organization called the Miraculous Love Kids to cover Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like an Eagle."

The organization was started by Lanny Cordola (who plays guitar alongside a group of Afghan school girls in the video) as an effort to raise funds and awareness for impoverished and endangered children in war-stricken countries.

"The simple yet powerful message behind 'Fly Like an Eagle' has never been more relevant and important, especially in war-torn, poverty-stricken places like Afghanistan," Cordola said in a statement. "With its urgent call to 'feed the babies who have no food to eat, shoe the children with no shoes on their feet, house the people living in the street,' the eagle surveys the landscape and realizes that none of us can truly be free until we address the most pressing matters of the human condition — food, clothing and shelter."

The video, which is available below, is a lot cooler than you might think, with Hagar and Kroeger's rocker snarls pairing surprisingly well with the voices of the Afghan school girls.

The large group collaboration also includes Nathan East (Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins), Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters), Gary Griffin (Brian Wilson, Beach Boys), Kris Myers (Umphrey's McGee) and guitarist Todd Shea.
