Bloc Party have stayed true to their promise that new music is coming, as they've just announced a new release. The High Life EP is set to arrive July 21 via Infectious / BMG.
The EP comes fresh off of the dance-punks' opening slot for Paramore's world tour. "When we were invited on the Paramore tour, we really wanted to get together and capture where the band was at and share that music," bandleader Kele Okereke said via press release. "We got in the studio with our friend Charlie Andrew and this EP was the result."
He continued: "We're very proud of these four tracks and they hopefully offer a little bridge between Alpha Games and what's next for the band. To me, it's the sound of coming out of the wilderness and re-embracing life."
In anticipation of The High Life EP, Bloc Party have shared the track "Keep It Rolling" featuring KennyHoopla — their first-ever collaboration. Listen to it below. The EP will also be home to the previously released track "High Life."
