Following two years of prep work, Regina metal swingers Black Thunder are ready to rain down some new tunes. III, their aptly titled third full-length release, is due July 29, but you can suck back all of its classic, stoney licks right now via an exclusive album premiere through Exclaim!
The threesome spent two years prepping this collection of Sabbath-thick riffs, progressive rock beatdowns and wildfire guitar licks. The self-financed set was cut with engineer Orin Paquette.
Throughout, you can check out the manic tilt-a-whirl beats and gloomy vocal melodies of "How to Wake Man and Her Son While You Criss Cross Your Bill," the Melvins-ish math-sludge of "Dece Welfare," and a shake-scented mosh crush called "Ripped Out of Your Face."
You'll find III streaming in full below, where you can also find info on a few upcoming Canadian tour dates.
