The Grammy Awards are set to take place again next year, and today the Recording Academy announced the recipients of its Lifetime Achievement awards. Leading the list this time around is none other than metal legends Black Sabbath.
The Lifetime Achievement Award "celebrates performers who have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording." And in addition to Black Sabbath, other 2019 receipts include George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Dionne Warwick, Billy Eckstine, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, and Sam & Dave.
The Lifetime Achievement awards will be handed out in a ceremony in Los Angeles on May 11.
The 61st Grammy Awards themselves take place on February 10. You can see the full list of nominees over here.
