Calgary-based drone master Devin Friesen has delivered the goods with yet another ambient slab from his ongoing Bitter Fictions project. Exclaim! is proud to present a stream of the three-song release XXVII today.
In fitting with the bitter moniker, the release opens with a 21-minute suite called "Jaywalking to Avoid Families." It's followed by the eight-minute "Idler" and 14-minute "Stitch (Ten Years a Stranger)."
As always, the release is made up of otherworldly guitar drones. As Friesen's label Shaking Box Music puts, the release offers "lushly blown-out feedback solitude caught on tape, one more hopefully hopeless new age conspiracy from the bummer basement."
