After inviting teachers and students to attend their sound checks, Big Thief have expanded the tour for which those dreamy field trips could be had (although the new dates are definitely during summer vacation, unfortunately). The quartet are bringing last year's Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You — one of Exclaim!'s best albums of 2022 — to a handful of new cities, including a lone Canadian stop in Vancouver.
Wasting no time, the titans of indie will kick off their year on the road at the end of January in Burlington before trekking across the US, the UK and Europe. They'll return to Burlington to begin the new leg of the tour on July 17 and grace Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre with their presence on August 3. Joined on select dates by their own Buck Meek, L'Rain or Nick Hakim, or co-headlining with Lucinda Williams, Big Thief's tour schedule now wraps up in Portland on August 5.
Tickets for the new shows go on sale this Friday (January 27) at 10 a.m. local time, following various Ticketmaster presales.
