If ever you doubted that Big Boi was a consummate entertainer, just check out his new clip for "The Train Pt. 2 (Sir Lucious Left Foot Saves the Day)." The vid chronicles the preparation for the hip-hopper's Big stage show, a collaboration with the Atlanta Ballet. Through a montage of dance rehearsals, concert clips featuring rhyme spitting and umbrella dancing, and a little bit of post-show partying, you get a glimpse at how damn hard Big Boi has worked on the project. The performer is all smiles throughout.
While the album version of the song, from his latest release Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (which happens to be our No. 1 hip-hop album of the year) scores the bulk of the eight-minute video, you get a good taste of how the show actually sounded as it switches from the chill hip-hop studio session to the concert performance of his brassy full band.
