Twee in a way that is somehow not excruciating, this Etobicoke, ON native drew an impressive Montreal crowd for her late night set. Mixing up full-band material with more intimate solo songs, Bulat commanded the attention of the bar crowd, who stayed quiet during her subtle performance. A highlight of the set was Bulats use of the Autoharp, which, un-amplified, totally silenced all revellers. A stellar backing band added much to the set with tasteful drums, bass and strings.
