A couple months back, during SXSW, Toronto musician Bahamas (aka Afie Jurvanen) made a plea to Bruce Springsteen for some tickets to the Boss's show in Austin. Now the footage of the singer's request has emerged, complete with a cover of "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out."
The track originally appeared on Springsteen's classic 1976 album Born to Run, though Bahamas gives it an acoustic, doo wop-tinged makeover.
There's no word on whether or not Jurvanen got into the show, but you can watch him make his pitch to the Boss ("I'm staying at the Super 8 on the I35, like, 20 miles out of town, so if you just want to swing by and grab me in your Prius or whatever") and reinvent "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" below.
