Bahamas songwriter Afie Jurvanen recently showed his new album Bahamas Is Afie to his best friend Russ. How does this affect the rest of us? Well, they filmed the proceedings and turned it into an album trailer.
In the clip, Jurvanen and his buddy Russ sit down to listen to some tunes. With the music playing in the background, the pair go shopping, discuss long hair, hit up the Ontario Food Terminal, and swing by Russ's restaurant Aunties and Uncles. We hear a couple of new songs, and Russ and Afie talk a bit about the new album and have an acoustic jam.
Wondering where the chilled-out vibe of Bahamas's music comes from? This clip offers some insight. (Hint: Afie recorded some parts in a bathrobe before going for a steam in the sauna.) There's even some heartfelt words on friendship towards the end.
Watch it below.
Bahamas Is Afie comes out on August 19 through Brushfire/Universal. As previously reported, Bahamas is also taking the album out on a North American tour. You can see the complete schedule here.
