Published Dec 06, 2019Toronto-based three-piece grunge act Bad River bring a blend of post-punk, garage rock and noise to their sound, delicately balancing harsh and heavy moments with melodic riffing. The band cite influences such as Sonic Youth, Guided By Voices and Nirvana — something that's evident in their '90s-worshipping tone.
Bad River are revealing their new music video for the track "Wisconsin" off their latest album, PETROL HEAD, and right now, you can check out the newly shared clip below.
Guitarist and vocalist Thom Huhtala says they wanted to showcase the importance of connecting with the earth and the beauty surrounding us in our daily lives while highlighting the tension between nature, media and technology.
"This was our first attempt at making our own video and we hope that the people who watch can find humour and joy in the mundane relatable things we see around us when we stop to take in the moment — like a man feeding Cheetos to seagulls on the banks of Lake Ontario, or late-night karaoke at the local legion," says Huhtala.
