Quebec's Le Festif! returns to action this summer from July 20 to 23 in Baie-Saint-Paul, QC, and Exclaim! will once again throw open the doors of Priest's Garage as part of the event's 2023 programming.
On the festival's opening day (July 20), the Exclaim!-sponsored stage will play host to Montreal experimental art punk supergroup (and Exclaim! New Faves alumni) La Sécurité, as well as award-winning Ukrainian folk music quartet DakhaBrakha.
Night two at Priest's Garage (July 21) will be led by Wine Lips, who captured just how intoxicating their fast, fuzzy garage punk can get with last year's Live at Lee's Palace concert film. The evening will also feature performances by the inimitable Backxwash, fresh off capping her widely acclaimed horrorcore trilogy, and noisy London-via-Tokyo quartet Bo Ningen, who Exclaim! once characterized as unafraid to "put culture in a blender."
The third and final night of music at Priest's Garage (July 22) will welcome Montreal post-punk supergroup Yocto, dynamic Chennai-born, Calgary-raised rap duo Cartel Madras and NYC rock 'n' rollers Baby Shakes to the stage.
Also taking part in the 2023 edition of Le Festif! are Amyl and the Sniffers, Daniel Bélanger, Les Trois Accords, Jean-Michel Blais, Milk & Bone, Choses Sauvages, Lydia Képinski, Safia Nolin, TOPS, Thierry Larose, Backxwash, Gabrielle Shonk, Greg Beaudin, Magi Merlin and Claudia Bouvette.
