Japanese metal duo Babymetal have announced a new concept album titled The Other One. It's due to arrive on March 24, 2023.
According to press materials, each of the album's 10 tracks represents "a unique theme based on 10 separate parallel worlds that they have discovered" within the concept album's "restoration project." The band have teased that they'll share one single each month leading up to the album's release next year, for a total of five pre-release tracks, beginning this month.
In addition to the record, Babymetal have announced BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE, a two-day performance — on January 28 and 29, 2023 — scheduled to take place in Tokyo.
While a tracklisting has yet to be revealed, the band have shared an album trailer, which you can watch below. Further hints at what's to come can be found on Babymetal's official website.
Babymetal's most recent album was 2019's Metal Galaxy.
