Here's another reason to be excited about the beginning of a new year: 2021 will reportedly bring new music from Avril Lavigne, who is in the studio with Machine Gun Kelly.
Yesterday (December 30), Lavigne shared a gallery of photos revealing that's she's working on music with MGK and rap-rock artist MOD SUN. In the images, we see MGK playing guitar, plus both he and Lavigne tracking vocals.
Lavigne captioned the post, "So are we ready for new music in the new year or what? Lemme know….."
This follows Avril's prior posts about working on new music. A couple weeks ago, she posted a photo of her in the studio with producer John Feldman (Blink-182, Good Charlotte, Panic! at the Disco). She's also shared Instagram stories revealing that she's working with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
If these sessions yield a new album, it would be her first since 2019's Head Above Water.
