Armored Saint

One should always be suspicious when a band's bio trumpets their latest work as the best of their career, especially when the band has been around as long as Armored Saint has. Yet Revelation is indeed the best Armored Saint album to date. This album has a great collection of power metal songs featuring a stunning vocal performance by John Bush and choruses that have "hit" written all over them ("Paydirt," "Tension," "Upon My Departure"), as farfetched as that may actually be. Surprisingly, there's also quite a bit of diversity on this in the form of mid-paced speed metal, slinky Mordred-like funk and one moody number sung in Spanish. Mad props for the old guys!
