Arcade Fire Release 45-Minute Instrumental "Memories of the Age of Anxiety"

But it's for a mediation app

Arcade Fire are back! Well, um, kinda. The band have just released a new 45-minute instrumental piece — but you can only right now hear it via a meditation app.

The track is called "Memories of the Age of Anxiety," and it comes as part of the meditation app Headspace.

The band announced their meditative advertising jingle via their Instagram tonight, and they say their piece is designed for "meditative vibes to help you focus and feel inspired."

At this point, the track has not made it anywhere else online outside the app, so if you really want to hear it — and feel inspired — you'll have to sign up to the app. But no doubt at least a rip will appear if not already.

For now, you can hear a preview below.

Of course, we doubt this is the new album Arcade Fire have been hinting at — or at least we hope so.

Just recently, the band reissued their Her soundtrack with Owen Pallett.
