After being silent for years, Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox has returned with a new single. It's called "Requiem for a Private War," and you can hear it for yourself now via a newly shared video.
The song comes for the new biopic A Private War, which was directed by Matthew Heineman. The film tells the tale of Sunday Times journalist Marie Colvin, who was killed during a siege in Syria in 2012.
"Writing 'Requiem for a Private War' for the film A Private War has not only given me an opportunity to honour Marie Colvin," Lennox said in a statement, "but also aims to amplify the 'truth to power' message she fought all her life to convey to the world, regarding the atrocious consequences of warfare and its effects upon innocent civilian populations."
