Alice Glass Enlists Former 'Drag Race' Winner Violet Chachki for "Mine" Video

Alice Glass has released a new song called "Mine," and it arrives complete with an accompanying video.

The former Crystal Castles member describes the song as being "about someone who hurts themselves in an attempt to regain control of their own life and experiences."

"It's a form of self-sacrifice and also an act of personal freedom for someone who feels completely out of control," she said in a statement. "I do not condone self-harm, but like a lot of my music 'Mine' is about my struggle with coming out of an intensely abusive relationship. In the ritual of hurting myself or taking something from myself I am at the very least in control of that act, when in so many other aspects of my life I felt hopeless."

The matching video features Glass and former RuPaul's Drag Race winner Violet Chachki. It starts as the grimmest tea party of all time, and ends as a funeral. Watch the eerily beautiful clip down below.

Glass released her self-titled debut solo EP last year. Since then, she's also unveiled singles "Cease and Desist" and "Forgiveness."

In the lengthy legal battle between Glass and her former Crystal Castles bandmate Ethan Kath, his defamation lawsuit against her was recently denied an appeal after initially being dismissed back in February. He initially filed the claim after Glass publicly accused him of rape and years of abuse.
