The duo have been talking about music together for a while now, starting with U2 on U Talkin' U2 to Me?, then R.E.M. with R U Talkin' R.E.M. Re: Me? before briefly moving on to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and then finally the (recently reunited!) Talking Heads with U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head?
They wrapped up that Talking Heads series in 2020 and have returned to the podcast here and there in the years since, like when they dropped two episodes discussing RHCP's pair of 2022 albums — the songs of which we helpfully ranked — and one special episode this past July where they talked U2's Songs of Surrender.
And now, it's time for Springsteen. U Springin' Springsteen on My Bean?'s first episode is available now; it covers the pair's formative experiences with Bruce and dives into his 1973 debut Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
