You want to know how to Hustle? You want to make a star turn resulting in some of the most acclaimed films of your career? You want to know how to drive the lane and connect on a supremely sick no-look, behind the back pass in Toronto park pick-up basketball? Adam Sandler has the answer: eat at Milestones.
Sandler, who is in Ontario at work on forthcoming Netflix project You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!, was spotted in Guelph this past weekend after surprise sightings in Toronto, Mississauga and Oakville. Surely looking to keep the creative juices flowing, Sandler stopped at Milestones Restaurant in the Royal City Sunday evening, much to the surprise of staff.
"[A Milestone's worker] came running to the back, with a red face and shaking, she just kind of looked at me and went 'Don't freak out, Adam Sandler is here, Adam Sandler is here, nobody say anything, just have a normal time with this,'" manager Brad Clarke told CTV News Kitchener. "I was like 'Okay, let me actually see if this is real.'"
The meal was so nice that Sandler dined at Milestones twice, returning for dinner the following evening. "Guess we did a pretty good job serving him Sunday," Clarke shared on Instagram, revealing in a separate post that the Sandman likes his steak medium.
Server Grace Van Hemmen shared with CTV News Kitchener, "It was life-changing. He was honestly one of the nicest celebrities I have ever met, let alone a normal person."
Sandler recently starred in Netflix basketball film Hustle, and in an instance of life imitating art, it was reported yesterday (July 26) that his co-star and NBA forward Juancho Hernangómez is nearing a deal with the Toronto Raptors.
