St. Vincent Details 'The Nowhere Inn' Soundtrack, Shares Title Track

The new song comes with a video helmed by the film's director Bill Benz

St. Vincent has shed some light on the soundtrack to her upcoming mockumentary The Nowhere Inn, which was co-written by Carrie Brownstein and directed by Bill Benz. The full soundtrack will arrive via Loma Vista on September 17.

Today, she's also sharing the OST's title track. The quasi-theme song splits the difference between the '70s pastiche of this year's Daddy's Home and St. Vincent's more frenetic past work, incorporating acoustic riffs, spaghetti-western horns, bar-room piano and enormous, crunching synths and thunderous drums.

It goes on quite the journey over its four-and-a-half minutes, and comes attached to an eerie video directed by Benz. You can check it out below, where you'll also find the record's tracklisting.

St. Vincent most recently appeared among the 53 renditions on Metallica's The Metallica Blacklist covers album, where we ranked her version of "Sad but True" at number 12.
