After Rogen took to Twitter to champion his new gig, Vancouver writer Wyatt Arndt responded by jokingly suggesting that if the city could get Nathan Fielder to do announcements at Vancouver International Airport, "we're golden."
Now, if we can somehow get @nathanfielder to do announcements at @yvrairport , we're golden

The airport didn't take it as a suggestion made in jest, though, replying: "We will look in to this."
We do have some automated messaging that goes out in certain scenarios. We will look in to this.

Fielder himself then jumped in, confirming that he's totally on board with the idea.
I will 100% do this https://t.co/nqmnkNQzYt

Fans from Vancouver and abroad are having a field day with the unlikely (but now maybe totally possible) collaboration, scripting Nathan for You-esque scenarios for the airport.
"First, we convinced the Vancouver Airport to let me do the announcements over the loudspeaker."

"After doing a few normal announcements, I managed to get through the most important one: 'Vancouver Airport will no longer be taking passengers. Our airport abilities will be shut down for the foreseeable future."

"Of course, this was simply to get all the passengers to the newly constructed 'Nathan Fielder Airport,' located a hop, skip, and a jump away from Vancouver. We spent two days building a complete, fully functional airport, and then it was the moment of truth."

"Unfortunately, after realizing that we had chartered no jets to take people to and from Vancouver, we came to the conclusion that the new Nathan Fielder airport wouldn't be able to operate. We went back to the Vancouver Airport and let them know the bad news."

Vancouver Airport: What? You opened your own airport and transferred all the passengers?
— 📖Mr. "Audit-Not-Audit" Giancarlo📖 (@CasPiancey) July 26, 2018
Nathan: Yeah, I was helping you.
VA: You thought that would help?
Nathan: *voiceover* Sometimes, no matter how much effort you put in, some people - some airports - don't want your help.
But the West Coast city isn't satisfied just yet. With Rogen and Fielder on board, others are now suggesting that Carly Rae Jepsen should do the voice work for BC Ferries.
Agreed. You should call her...maybe? pic.twitter.com/ax5awyiagG

Stay tuned to hear if any other famous British Columbians actually take up their civic duty and provide the province with on-board messages. In the meantime, revisit the preview of Rogen's TransLink spot below.
