Netflix has officially confirmed that a second season of The Umbrella Academy is on the way, and it has just shared a teaser clip from the upcoming episodes.
In Season 1, we were introduced to estranged superhero siblings who come together after the death of their father. Using their powers — and discovering new ones along the way — the siblings try to fend off the impending apocalypse.
The new teaser trailer picks up exactly where the season finale left off, in mid-saving-the-world action. It doesn't seem to be going too well for the Academy members, though.

As previously reported, the new season will go into production in Toronto later this year. The first season was filmed between Toronto and Hamilton.
Peter Hoar is slated to direct the first episode of Season 2; he also directed Season 1's pilot and Episode 10.
The Umbrella Academy is based on a graphic novel of the same name by former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way.
