David Fincher and Charlize Theron had a great deal of success when they dropped the first season of their Netflix show Mindhunter in 2017. Now, all eyes are on the team for what they'll do with Season 2. Now, we have a handful of details about the show's return, as well as news on when the show will return.
Speaking with Howard Stern earlier this week (in an interview available below), Theron said that the show is slated to return in August.
She didn't give much other info, but Vulture recently interviewed former FBI profiler and author John Douglas, who wrote the 1996 book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit on which the series is based.
Douglas told Vulture that the show will cover both the Son of Sam and Charles Manson. "They are going to have David Berkowitz, as well as Charles Manson," he said, adding that the show will follow "the Atlanta child killings in the early '80s."
Making things even more interesting is the fact that Damon Herriman has been rumoured for the role of Charles Manson. He's already playing Manson in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
