Last night, Sony made the unprecedented move of pulling the bug-plagued Cyberpunk 2077 from its PlayStation Store, as well as offer up refunds to those who already bought the game. Now, Microsoft is following Sony's lead and also offering refunds to unhappy players.
This morning, Microsoft tweeted that it was "expanding [its] existing refund policy" and that it will offer any unsatisfied Xbox players full refunds if they bought the CD Projekt Red title from the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft added: "While we know the developers at CD Projekt RED have worked hard to ship Cyberpunk 2077 in extremely challenging circumstances, we also realize that some players have been unhappy with the current experience on older consoles."

Unlike Sony, it does not appear that Microsoft has pulled Cyberpunk 2077 entirely from its webstore.
As previously reported, Polish developers CD Projekt Red were forced to issue an apology and promise refunds after buyers — and especially console owners — vented growing frustrations over the Keanu Reeves-starring game's serious performance issues.
Depsite Cyberpunk 2077 being delayed multiple times, countless gamers complained of repeated crashes and immersion-destroying bugs on PC and especially older consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One.
CD Projekt Red tweeted today that it will ensure any unsatisfied players will get a full refund, no matter if they bought the game physically or digitally. You can see the company's latest tweet below.
